Police are investigating after a Richmond Hill man drowned in Wasaga Beach on Saturday.
Huronia West OPP say officers responded to a call at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park around 5:20 p.m. after getting reports a swimmer entered the water in the beach area and did not resurface.
Emergency responders were able to recover the man from the water in the Nottawasaga River and proceeded to conduct CPR.
He was transported to hospital via emergency run and was eventually pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Kuljit Dhinsa of Richmond Hill.
Police do not believe the death is suspicious and do not suspect any foul play.
The investigation is ongoing.
OPP is reminding people to be safe near the water, swim with a buddy, and let someone know where you are swimming and when.
