Man injured after early-morning shooting in Scarborough

A shooting in Scarborough has sent one person to hospital with serious injuries. Police have not released any suspect information at this time.

A man is recovering in hospital after he was shot multiple times in Scarborough.

Toronto police were called to Susan and Marcella streets around 1:45 a.m. near Lawrence Avenue and Scarborough Golf Club Road.

Investigators tell CityNews a man was shot several times and is undergoing surgery. The victim’s injuries were considered critical, but police say he’s now in non-life-threatening condition.

A suspect was seen fleeing the area on foot, but police say it’s unclear if multiple people were involved in the shooting.

Officers also confirmed that the victim entered a car during the incident and eventually crashed the vehicle in the area.

It’s unknown if the victim was shot while inside the car or if they were shot beforehand.
