Peel police’s homicide unit is investigating after the bodies of two people were found at a home in Mississauga.

Authorities were called to the residence on Princess Street near Queen Street South and Bristol Road West around 8 a.m. on Tuesday for a “wellness check.”

Police say a man and a woman were found dead with “obvious signs of trauma” inside the home.

Friends and neighbours identified the victims as Monika and Tino. A friend of the victims’ 18-year-old daughter said they also have a 20-year-old son.

Police would not comment on the relationship between the victims.

Police said they lived in the area but would not confirm if they lived at the residence where they were found.

Investigators are treating the deaths as suspicious.

Police said there is no threat to public safety and no one is in custody.
