The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) makes its triumphant return on Friday, and the City of Toronto is ensuring people will have an opportunity to get vaccinated after sampling some of The Ex’s culinary curiosities.
The city announced it would offer pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics at The Ex starting tomorrow. Dubbed “the CNE clinic,” officials say it will provide Torontonians with a unique and accessible way to get vaccinated.
Children over five are eligible to get a shot at The Ex at the Enercare Centre, located at 100 Princes’ Boulevard, near the building’s east entrance.
Vaccine pop-up clinics will be held on the following days:
- Friday, August 19, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, August 20, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday, August 21 to Thursday, August 25, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Monday, August 29, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Thursday, August 31 to Monday, September 5, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition to clinics being held at the CNE, city officials confirmed that pop-ups would be featured at other summer festivals, including the Taste of Manilla at Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue on Saturday, August 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, August 21, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A pop-up vaccination clinic will also be held at Toronto’s highly anticipated Chinatown Festival at Dundas Street West and Huron Street on Saturday, August 20, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, August 21, from noon to 7 p.m.
A city spokesperson said the clinics would provide first, second, third, fourth and pediatric COVID-19 doses to eligible residents.
“Clinics operate on a walk-in basis, and no appointment or health card is required,” a spokesperson said as part of a news release. “Pfizer and Moderna will be available.”
The CNE will kick off on Friday and run until September 5.
Advanced tickets purchased before August 18 (today) cost $20, while general admission tickets for people 14 to 64 are $25. Seniors over 65 pay $20 for a ticket.
Children under the age of four get in for free.
