Woman killed, 15 injured in early morning multi-vehicle crash in Brampton

A woman is dead and 15 others injured following an early morning multi-vehicle crash in Brampton.
Peel police say just after midnight a tractor-trailer collided with approximately 10 other vehicles who were stopped at a red light at the intersection of Queen Street East and The Gore Road.
An adult female was pronounced dead at the scene while paramedics treated 15 others for various injuries. Thirteen people were sent to nearby hospitals for further treatment, including two who were taken to a trauma centre in serious condition.
Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation but the driver of the tractor-trailer has been charged with numerous counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing death.
