Man with knife carjacks victim from driveway in Mississauga

By Lucas Casaletto

Peel Regional Police are searching for a stolen vehicle after a man brandishing a knife carjacked a victim from a residential driveway in Mississauga.

On Tuesday, investigators were called to Thomas Street and McFarren Boulevard just before 9:30 p.m. for reports of a carjacking.

It’s alleged the violent incident occurred when a male suspect approached the victim with a knife. The victim suffered minor injuries in the carjacking.

The stolen vehicle is a White Hyundai Sonata with the Ontario licence plate “BLEY398.” Police say there is visible damage to the side door.

The male suspect is described as being in their 20s, tall, white, with short hair and a moustache.

This comes after Toronto police said investigators were looking into multiple armed carjackings in the city, including one alleged case that saw a taxi cab stolen at knifepoint near Rogers Centre.
