Toronto police are searching for a male driver and a female passenger after a deliberate hit-and-run during which they targeted and struck a pedestrian in Etobicoke.

Officers were called to a parking lot in the Dixon Road and Islington Avenue area just before 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26, for reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

It’s alleged the individual exited their car at the front entrance of 263 Dixon Road when the driver of a silver Honda Civic accelerated, struck them, and fled the scene.

Police say the driver had been following the victim.

The violent incident happened after a verbal altercation between the pedestrian and the driver of the silver Honda Civic, police confirmed.

It’s unclear how serious the pedestrian’s injuries were.
