From shivering to the patio: GTA heading into a weekend warmup

The leaves may be falling but the temperatures will be rising in the GTA, so say goodbye to the big chill for now as we’re in for a warmup this weekend.
The GTA shivered through frosty conditions overnight but plenty of sunshine is headed our way starting Friday.
“Finally a weather pattern change for us, and lots of sunshine, great conditions for the next several days, warmer too,” CityNews meteorologist Jill Taylor said.

The temperature is expected to reach a high of 15 C on Friday, with highs of 19 C for Saturday and 18 C on Sunday with mostly sunny conditions. The lows will be around 8-11 C for the three days.

The warmer and sunny trend conditions into Monday as voters head to the polls in the municipal elections. As of now, the forecast calls for a high of 18 C.
Although clouds return on Tuesday it will continue to be mild with a high of 18 C.
It appears that above seasonal temperatures will remain in the GTA for at least two weeks.
“At this point, it looks like it will stay quite mild through to Halloween and for the start of November. Likely not 19 C for the highs like we will have this weekend but should stay slightly above the average high of 11 or 12 degrees for about two weeks,” she said.
Ahead of fall’s arrival, the Weather Network released its annual fall forecast that suggested Ontarians can expect above seasonal temperatures until at least November.
However, it warned that much of the province could see more typical late-fall weather when November arrives, with temperatures expected to cool significantly.
