Woman wanted in Scarborough assault

Toronto police have arrested a man and are looking for a woman in connection with an aggravated assault in Scarborough.

Investigators say at around 5 a.m. on Sept. 20, a 42-year-old man was assaulted with a knife in the Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road.

He was taken to hospital with injuries.

A man and woman were spotting leaving the apartment.

On Sept. 27, Mohamed Abdihakim, 38, of Toronto was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 30.

An unknown woman is still wanted. She is described as in her early 20s with brown and blonde hair and was seen wearing a black shirt, black sweater, black shorts and carrying a brown handbag.

A security image of the woman has been released as police work to identify her.
