Toronto pair charged after $100,000 in drugs seized in car stop

Two people from Toronto are facing a number of charges after $100,000 worth of drugs were seized during a traffic stop in Orillia.
Provincial police say they were on general patrol when they stopped a car for a traffic offence on Dec. 19 at around 8:30 p.m.
During the stop, police learned that one of the occupants of the car was not complying with a release order.
After the pair were in custody, police searched the vehicle and recovered over 1 kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of $100,000 as well as 85 grams of cannabis and brass knuckles.
Denneil Morgan, 41, of North York and Stephanie Alvardo, 32, of Toronto are facing several drug and weapons charges while Morgan has also been charged with failing to comply with a release order.
