Man suffers injuries in shooting near Scarlett and Eglinton

A man has been taken to hospital after being shot near Scarlett Road and Eglinton Avenue West.

Toronto police were called to the area following reports that someone had been shot. The victim was located on the scene with a gunshot wound along with several shell casings.

Police previously said the man suffered serious injuries, but now say he was taken hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say two vehicles were involved in the incident and it is being investigated as a possible driveby shooting.

Road closures are expected in the area as police investigate.
