One person in hospital with burns following trailer explosion near Allen Road

Emergency crews responded to an explosion in the Allen Road and Glencairn Avenue area around 11:30 p.m on January 4, 2022. Paramedics say a man in his 40s was transported to hospital with burns. His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

One person is in hospital after a trailer exploded in North York late Wednesday evening, according to Toronto police.

Emergency crews responded to an explosion in the area of Allen Road and Glencairn Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

Paramedics say a man in his 40s was transported to hospital with burns. His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

Police say there are reports of propane leaking inside a trailer.

The Ontario Fire Marshal is on scene investigating.
