Man in 30s fighting for his life after being hit by car in Scarborough

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car in Scarborough on Thursday night.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. at Danforth and Birchmount roads.
Police say a white Pontiac was travelling southbound on Birchmount when it struck a pedestrian that was crossing the street at Danforth Road.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was rushed to hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries.
The driver involved remained on scene.
