Peel Regional Police reminded drivers to ensure their car is in park before they leave the vehicle after an amusing and unusual incident in the GTA.
This comes as officers received a fail to remain call where someone left the mall only to find their car hit by another with no driver.
Another person left the mall and found their car was not where they parked it, so they reported the vehicle had been stolen.
Officers explained that the person failed to put their car in park and rolled until it collided with the other vehicle. No one was injured.
Peel police said not only was the vehicle not stolen, but there was also no failure to remain either.
Officers say a quick check before you get out of your car can help avoid these misunderstandings.
