Three teenage boys and a teen girl were arrested after a BB gun was fired toward a passenger on a TTC subway train on Thursday.
Toronto police responded to York University station around 11:45 a.m. after receiving reports a group of teens fired a replica firearm at a woman.
The incident occurred on a southbound train.
In an update later in the day, police said the female wasn’t hit and was not injured.
Investigators also said they arrested a 16-year-old boy, two 15-year-old boys, and a 15-year-old girl. Police also recovered two “BB-style firearms.”
The teenagers face two charges each, including possessing a deadly weapon and assault with a weapon. All four youths are slated to appear in court on Feb. 8.
The teenagers were not named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
The incident follows a wave of violent attacks on the TTC over the last week, including another incident involving a BB gun over the weekend.
A TTC driver was shot with a BB gun as they were waiting to take over a bus in Scarborough on Saturday. The driver was hit in the head and abdomen but suffered no serious injuries. Police say the suspects drove off in a vehicle.
