Motorcyclist fatally injured in north end crash

A motorcyclist is dead following a crash in the north end of the city.
Police and fire crews were called to the area of Finch Avenue West and Champagne Drive, west of Dufferin Street, just after 9 p.m. Saturday night for reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.
Police say a 55-year-old man was travelling eastbound on a motorcycle on Finch when he collided with a westbound vehicle being driven by a 42-year-old woman.
The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby trauma centre in critical condition where he later died of his injuries.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and no charges have been laid at this point, however, the investigation is continuing.
