Two-alarm fire in Danforth Road and Warden Avenue area sends one to hospital

A two-alarm residential fire on Mystic Avenue in the Warden Avenue and Danforth Road area has sent one person to hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to reports of a possible explosion, and crews were in defensive mode as they put the fire out and were dealing with the compromised structure. Toronto Fire Services Investigations Unit has been engaged.

An adult male wad taken to a burn centre with serious burns, but is not in life-threatening condition.

Mystic Avenue is closed southbound at Mack Avenue, and closed northbound at Milne Avenue.
