Toronto police have arrested two suspects after a triple shooting on Danzig Street in the city’s east-end neighbourhood of West Hill.

Police were called to the courtyard area of a housing complex on Danzig Street near Morningside Avenue at 3 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a shooting.

Paramedics say three males suffering from gunshot wounds were taken to hospital in serious, non-life-threatening condition. One of the victims was shot in the torso and the other two were shot in the leg.

Two males have been arrested in connection with the shooting and police tell CityNews two firearms were recovered at the scene.

Police tell CityNews the two males arrested are among the three people injured in the shooting. A bystander was struck by a flying bullet.

Parents who spoke with CityNews say there were at least 30 kids outside playing in the courtyard area when the shooting occurred.

The shooting happened on the 11th anniversary of a mass shooting at a neighbourhood block party on Danzig on July 16, 2012, which left a 14-year-old girl and a 23-year-old man dead, and injured 22 other people.
