6-vehicle crash in North York involves stolen car, driver arrested

Toronto police say multiple people are injured, and a driver has been arrested following a six-vehicle crash in North York that saw a stolen vehicle flipped over.

Authorities were notified of a multi-vehicle crash in the Yonge Street and Empress Avenue area around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said six vehicles were involved, and the driver of a stolen car, which flipped over due to the crash, was arrested at the scene.

Three people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said Yonge Street has reopened to motorists after being closed for a few hours due to the investigation and crash cleanup.
