Two children are injured after a vehicle crashed into the fence of a daycare in Vaughan on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision around 9:30 a.m. in the area of Rutherford Road and Melville Avenue.
Investigators say children were playing outside when a male driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed through the metal fence surrounding the daycare. The smashed fence then collided with two children and an adult employee.

Two boys, ages 2 and 3, and the employee were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Police say all other children have been accounted for and were not injured.
“Fortunately, only minor injuries to the people that were struck,” says York Regional Police Sgt. Clint Whitney. “Nonetheless, it’s an upsetting thing to go through.”
The driver, a man in his 80s, did not sustain injuries. No charges have been laid.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the area to come forward.
