1 injured in crash on Highway 401 near Whitby

One driver has been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Whitby.

Police were called to Highway 401 eastbound at Brock Street just after 4:30 p.m. to a crash between three vehicles including a pick-up truck and a transport truck.

One of the drivers was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported.

Four right lanes were closed for several hours from Hwy 412 to Brock Street. It has since reopened.
