Female motorcyclist killed in Mississauga crash

A motorcyclist is dead following a crash involving a minivan in Mississauga.
Police say the motorcycle was travelling eastbound along Burnhamthorpe Road West near Perivale Road when it collided with a minivan that was making a left-hand turn into a parking lot just after 4:30 p.m. Friday.
A woman believed to be in her 40s was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition where she was later pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported and police say the the driver involved remained on the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
