Toronto police investigating reports of shots fired at 2 tow trucks in Scarborough
Toronto police are investigating after gunshots were fired at two tow trucks at a plaza parking lot near Steeles Avenue East and Markham Road in Scarborough on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene just after 3:30 p.m.
Initial reports from police say an occupant in a dark-coloured vehicle fired shots at the two tow trucks.

No injuries have been reported.
Police say evidence of gunfire — shell casings and bullet holes in the tow trucks — were located and the suspect vehicle has also been found abandoned.
No arrests have been made and no suspect descriptions are currently available.
The recent incident follows a string of similar shootings involving tow trucks over the last few days.
Police are investigating possible connections between a trio of shootings that took place less than 24 hours apart involving tow trucks in Scarborough last weekend.

So far there’s no word if Wednesday’s shooting is linked to the previous incidents.
