1 man dead in triple-shooting at Hamilton-area party

Hamilton police officers say a man has died and at least two others have been injured at a house party in Flamborough.

A man in his mid-20s is dead after at least three people were shot at a party in a short-term rental property in Flamborough.

Hamilton police say they responded to reports of shots fired at property along Highway 6 near Concession Road 6 East around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived they found a man suffering from non-life threatening injuries. He informed police that the shooting happened at a nearby short-term rental property.

When police arrived at the property they were told that at least two other victims had fled the scene. One of them, a man, was found dead from gunshot wounds in a car along Highway 6.

Police say a woman also suffered non-life threatening injuries from the shooting while a second female was treated for injuries suffered in a physical assault.

Investigators say there were at least 60 people at the party and they are currently interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

Police have not released a suspect description at this time.
