Arrest made in random assault investigation

A Toronto man is facing charges after police allege he randomly assaulted a person near Bay Street and Lake Shore Boulevard on Monday.

Officers were called to the area at around 10:27 a.m. on June 8 for reports of an assault.

Investigators say the suspect approached and assaulted the victim without provocation.

Officers arrived and located the accused nearby, placing him under arrest.

Devan Pinnock, 26, is facing charges of assault and fail to comply with a probation order.
