There’s one person who didn’t knock it out of the park at Major League Baseball’s Home Run Derby on Monday night in Texas.
That would be country singer Ingrid Andress, whose rendition of the U.S. National Anthem was almost instantly deemed a ‘worst ever’ contender.

A day later, the four-time Grammy-nominated singer provided an explanation for her off-key, cringe-fest.
“I was drunk.”
Andress admitted as much in a social media post on Tuesday, pulling no punches about the major league strike out.

“I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need,” she wrote.
“That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition.”
