Social media sites run by Meta back online

Both social media sites run by Meta, Facebook and Instagram, experienced a widespread service outage Wednesday afternoon

Meta says it is dealing with a technical problem that is impacting the sites, but service was restored shortly three hours after.

No reason for the outage was given.
