Toronto police investigating a shooting in Riverdale

Toronto police are investigating an alleged shooting that took place in the city’s Riverdale neighbourhood early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the area of Danforth Avenue and Carlaw Avenue just after 5:00 a.m. after receiving a call from someone who heard gunshots.

Upon arrival, police located evidence of gunfire. However, no injuries were reported.

Road closures were in effect on Danforth Avenue between Carlaw Avenue and Logan Avenue while police investigated and reopened just before noon.

No other details were released.
