Several suspects charged after same Brampton home shot at 2 times: Peel police

Peel Regional Police officers have charged a total of seven suspects after the same Brampton home was shot at two times between late November and early January.

The first incident occurred on Saturday, Nov. 30, just before 2 a.m. when investigators say two men shot at a home in the Mountainberry and Mountainsash roads area of Brampton.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation was launched and police executed a search warrant at a Brampton residence, allegedly seizing a loaded gun and ammunition.

Three people were arrested.

Manpreet Singh, 27, and Dilpreet Singh, 23, were both charged with discharge firearm with intent and fail to comply with a release order.

A third man, Harshdeep Singh, 23, was charged with discharge firearm with intent, careless storage of a firearm and fail to comply with a release order.

All three were held pending a bail hearing.

Investigators say the same home was shot at again on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 at around 9 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

A second search warrant was executed at a Brampton residence and police say another loaded gun was seized.

Four men were arrested and charged in connection to the second shooting.

They are Dharmpreet Singh, 25, Manpartap Singh, 27, Atamjit Singh, 30 and Arvinderpal Singh, 21.

They all face the following charges.

• Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
• Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (X2)
• Possession of a Loaded Firearm
• Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
• Careless Storage of Firearm
• Discharge Firearm in Reckless Manner

All four men were held for bail hearings.

Police have not divulged a motive in the shootings.
