Man charged in Walmart fire at Square One mall that caused over $10M in damages

A man faces charges after a fire at a Walmart in Mississauga that caused over $10 million in damages.

The large fire happened late Monday night at the Square One Walmart. The blaze was extinguished by firefighters and determined to be suspicious by investigators.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to investigate.

No injuries were reported.

The store’s damage, inventory, and lost revenue are expected to exceed $10 million.

Wyatt Diamond-Harbour, 29, of no fixed address, has been arrested and charged with arson causing damage to property and breach of a probation order.

He has been held pending a bail hearing.
