Man in life-threatening condition after being struck by vehicle in Rexdale

A man is fighting for his life in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Rexdale on Sunday.

Toronto police say an 82-year-old man was driving his vehicle in the Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 area just before 6 p.m. when he struck a male pedestrian.

Paramedics say a 28-year-old man was taken to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
