A child has been critically injured after police were called to a home in Mississauga for a reported drowning.

Emergency responders were called to the residence near Fifth Line West and Dundas Street West around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Paramedics transported the child to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
