‘Concerned citizen’ helps police locate missing Markham man

A “concerned citizen” is being credited for helping to locate a Markham man who was missing since Wednesday morning.
Jeyakanthan Sivapatham, 55, was last seen around 9 a.m. at his home in the Denison Street and Markham Road area.
He was located in Toronto just after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, and has been reunited with his family.
York police said the citizen recognized Sivapatham from the media coverage. He was spotted walking in the Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue area.
Family and friends were concerned for his well-being as they did not hear from him. He did not have access to money, and nor did he have a cell phone with him.
