Three Toronto men charged after teen girl forced into prostitution

By News staff

Three Toronto men are facing 15 charges after allegedly forcing a teenage girl into prostitution, where she was made to have sex with 10 or more clients a day.

Police said a 15-year-old girl from British Columbia was visiting family in Ontario in December, when she met a man who along with another suspect forced her into the sex trade in Oshawa, Toronto and Niagara Falls over a three-week period.

The teen had agreed to go out with the man she initially met after he texted her in late-November of 2015. He, and another man, picked her up then gave her copious amounts of alcohol and drugs.

The two men took photos of her and posted them on various sexual service websites. She was also told to pay for the transportation costs to Toronto and the cost of the hotel room.

Police allege she was forced turn over all the money she received from the clients to the suspects.

At one point, she was kicked out of an Oshawa hotel room.

The teen was told she would have to work more to pay off the costs after being kicked out of the room. At this point, a third man registered the hotel rooms for her and her clients.

The teen was able to break free and call police on Dec. 17.

After conducting an investigation, police arrested three men between June 2-6, and police believe there may be more victims.

Ahmadu Ahmed, 20; Maher Saleh, 20; and Jerome Laing, 19, faces several charges including trafficking in persons under 18 years and material benefit from sexual services.

Laing appeared in court June 2, while the two men were in court in June 6.
