West was the best in the 2012 American Hockey League All-Star Skills Competition.
The Western Conference stars defeated their Eastern Conference counterparts 18-10 on Sunday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.

Calgary Flames prospect Brian Connelly of the Abbotsford Heat was the Reebok Fastest Skater with a time of 13.851 seconds.
Chicago Wolves’ Kevin Connauton is no Zdeno Chara but his 99.4 mph slap shot was enough to take the Reebok Hardest Shot.
It looked like the Milwaukee Admirals’ Chris Mueller would take the Caesars Accuracy Shooting challenge after hitting all four targets in a row despite missing his first two shots. However, Trevor Smith of the Norfolk Admirals was able to better his mark, smashing all four in only five shots.
The Western Conference broke away in the Visit Atlantic City Pass and Score competition, scoring seven goals to lead 13-8 with one event remaining.
Both Michael Leighton and Tyson Sexsmith shut the door for the Western Conference in the Panasonic Breakway Relay and Jeff Zatkoff only let in a pair to help their side win 5-2 in the final challenge.
