Alanis Morissette To Receive Canadian Music Honour

Alanis Morissette, who was an ’80s pop diva before having a major rock comeback in the 1990s with the mammoth album Jagged Little Pill, is being inducted in to the Canadian music industry’s Hall of Fame.
The Ottawa-born singer is being honoured with the lifetime achievement award on March 7 as part of the Canadian Radio Music Awards, to be held during Canadian Music Week.
Morissette joins past inductees Gordon Lightfoot, Rush, Triumph, and producer David Foster
Her hits include You Oughta Know, Hand in My Pocket, and Ironic.
Canadian Music Week organizers will also be celebrating the achievements of Nettwerk Music Group CEO Terry McBride and Canadian Idol TV producer John Brunton. Both will be inducted into the Canadian music industry’s Hall of Fame in March.
