3 children hurt in 2 separate GTA fires

Three children were hurt in two separate fires in the GTA on Sunday night.
Two children were taken to hospital after a house fire in Oshawa. The fire began around 11:25 p.m. in the basement of a two-story home on Buena Vista Avenue, near Bond Street and Park Road.
The children were taken to hospital as a precaution and are expected to be fine.
The estimated property damage is $30,000, Oshawa Fire Services said.
A third child was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire on Dixington Crescent, near Islington Avenue and Dixon Road.
The fire began in the bedroom of one of the units just before midnight on Sunday.
It’s not yet known what caused either of the fires.
