Police release surveillance video in weekend Scarborough shooting

Police have released surveillance video of a parking lot shooting last weekend that sent one man to hospital.
Police were called to a parking lot in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Sweeney Drive near Eglinton Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 12.
Surveillance video shows a man in a dark hooded sweatshirt and white pants walking over to a parked car with four occupants inside. He then appears to fire several shots into the vehicle before fleeing.
Police say the suspect got into a white Hyundai sedan that was waiting at the rear of the plaza and was last seen travelling westbound on Sweeney Drive.
About a half hour later, police were informed that a man showed up at a nearby hospital suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and the owner and/or occupants of the white Hyundai.
