Avril Lavigne Reportedly Set To Marry Sum 41 Singer This Weekend

There’s word the Canadian punk/pop star is going to tie the knot with Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley in a traditional ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
Lavigne, 21, a Napanee, Ont. native, and Whibley, 26, from Ajax, Ont., have been dating since early 2004. The SUM 41 star popped the question during Lavigne’s European tour last June.
Although Nettwerk, the company that manages the two singers, wouldn’t comment on the wedding rumours there are reports that Lavigne’s parents and siblings have made the trip down to California for the nuptials and Whibley’s mother is also expected to attend.
According to a published report, the wedding reception will feature rock bands and circus performers. Lavigne is also expected to wear a designer white gown for her trip down the aisle.
There’s a lot of buzz about the apparent upcoming wedding in Lavigne’s hometown and the owner of the pizza parlour she frequents when she’s home offered his best wishes to the singer.
“I wish her well if she’s getting married,” said Bill Kosmopoulos, who runs La Pizzeria.
“I saw her personally — it was after Christmas, the last time she came here.”
“She’s a busy girl,” he added. “I wish her the best — all the best, and have a nice life.”
