Several Injuries In Downtown Crash

The crash happened in front of an apartment complex near Church Street around 3:30am. Police say one SUV was chasing another after it left the scene of a minor fender bender.
The pursuit came to an end when both vehicles crashed, one hitting a pole and the other slamming into a building.
One man underwent emergency surgery to treat a serious injury to his hip and the conditions of the others aren’t known.
Police are trying to track down the driver of one of the SUVs, who fled on foot before emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is being urged to call police.
