Man, 27, dead after shooting near Black Creek and Trethewey

A 27-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Toronto’s northwest end.
Police and paramedics were called to Clearview Heights near Black Creek and Trethewey drives around 12:40 a.m. on Monday.
When they arrived, they located a man on the ground with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified the victim as Diquan Olive-Service of Toronto.
The victim was found steps away from a memorial for a 32-year-old man who was gunned down in the area a week ago. It is not known if the two shootings are related.

This is the city’s 30th homicide of 2021.
