GO Train service is back to normal after a pedestrian accident caused major delays in the train service Thursday morning.
Commuters on the Lakeshore and Stouffville lines were most affected by the service disruption, which occurred after a fatal accident involving a VIA train and a pedestrian.
Service was shut down for more than half an hour following the incident at the Scarborough GO station. The 7:45am GO Train from Pickering had to be cancelled, as did the 8:25am train from Oshawa. Police investigating at the scene contributed to the service delays.
According to officials trains are running again, and there’s not indication the afternoon rush will be affected by the tragic morning incident.
GO bus service wasn’t affected.
