Love Is In The Air, As BT Hosts Couple’s Wedding

Breakfast Television viewer Mandy never imagined that a brief spot on the show would lead to one of the biggest days of her life.
She was on BT taking part in a contest giveaway earlier this year and mentioned at one point that she and her spouse Harry had been together for eight years and he hadn’t yet popped the question. BT host Kevin Frankish offered to help the couple make that leap by hosting their wedding live on the show.
Friday was the big day, and the BT lobby was transformed, with purple and white drapes hanging from the walls, a string quartet, and a tiered cake from local bakery The Cake Crusader. Other local businesses including Moores, S.A.S. Party Decorations, Salon Escape, and Amanda Lina’s Sposa contributed to the romantic day.
Kevin Frankish walked a tearful Mandy down the aisle, in place of her father who has passed away. Jennifer Valentyne snapped photos of the event, and Dina Pugliese and Frank Ferragine joined in the festivities along with 50 of Mandy and Harry’s closest family and friends over the course of the three-hour broadcast.
As Frankish joked at one point, you don’t see many weddings with “commercial breaks.”
Following the ceremony a limousine whisked the newly betrothed Mandy and Harry to the Delta Chelsea for a wedding reception. Highlights from the party will air on BT Monday June 23.
