StreetBeat – Aug. 25 – Two Hurt In Apparently Random Stabbings In Heart Of The City

A young man is recovering from a stabbing in midtown Toronto. The victim was found bleeding on the steps of a public library on Orchard View Boulevard near Yonge and Eglinton just before 2:30pm. He suffered a punctured lung. The suspect was spotted running from the scene. There’s no known motive and it doesn’t appear the victim knows why he was attacked.

Not long after, police were back in the same area, this time at the Eglinton subway station, for yet another knife attack. A man was taken into custody there and officers are exploring whether he may be responsible for yet another random stabbing for no apparent reason.
