Man Drives Himself From Crime Scene After East-End Shooting

Police are on the hunt for suspects after a man was shot five times on Thursday night and drove himself to a nearby plaza to call for help.

The 22-year-old was soon rushed to hospital for treatment, a bullet having grazed his temple.

The victim’s bloodied car was found in a lot at Morningside Avenue and Sewells Road. He and two others had been in the vehicle, which was parked in a townhouse complex on nearby Empringham Drive when around 10pm, a group of males approached and the gunman opened fire.

The two occupants fled the scene.

As many as 10 people witnessed the incident. But there have been no arrests yet.
