A 48-year-old woman is facing 10 charges for allegedly defrauding a number of people for small amounts of cash.
It’s alleged Susan Waegener knocked on doors across the city, particularly in the Beaches, Don Mills and Davisville neighbourhoods, identifying herself as a volunteer for the Canadian Diabetes Association soliciting donations for a walk-a-thon.
She was arrested Tuesday in the Danforth and Woodbine Avenue area.
