Leafs Win In O.T.

The Toronto Maple Leafs managed to squeak past the Atlanta Thrashers Thursday night, with a 2-1 overtime victory.
Mikhail Grabovski scored 39 seconds into the extra frame, seriously damaging the Thrashers’ playoff chances.
Toronto’s rookie goalie Jonas Gustavsson was solid in net, stopping 19 shots for his sixth straight win.
Atlanta’s Zacn Bogosian and Toronto’s Phil Kessel each scored in the first period and those goals held up for the rest of the game.
Toronto is toiling away in last place in the Eastern Conference, but has now won seven of their last nine games. This road victory helps them improve their dismal road record to 5-15-3 in the last 23.
Next up for the Leafs is a home game against the New York Rangers Saturday night.
