Former CFB Trenton Commander Placed On Suicide Watch: Report

Former CFB Trenton commander and accused murderer Russell Williams was reportedly placed on suicide watch after he attempted to take his life this weekend.

Williams, who’s being held at the Quinte Detention Centre in Napanee, Ont., scrawled a suicide note on the wall of his cell in mustard, claiming he could no longer deal with his feelings and that his affairs are in order, according to a report in the Kingston Whig-Standard.

The 47-year-old reportedly filled a cardboard toilet roll with foil and forced it down his throat. Staff still managed to get in Williams’ cell to rescue him, despite the fact he’d jammed the lock.

Williams is slated to appear in court again on April 29th.

The former military commander is accused of murdering two women and sexually assaulting two others. Williams is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Jessica Lloyd, 27, who was killed in February, and Marie France Comeau, a 38-year-old corporal with CFB Trenton’s 437 squadron who was killed last November.
