Crash Closes Highway 401

The OPP is investigating after a tractor-trailer spilled its load of plastic bottles on the 401 early Saturday morning.
The truck was traveling eastbound on the 401 near McLaughlin Rd. in Mississauga shortly before 2am when it hit the overpass.
The driver, 58, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The 401’s eastbound lanes were temporarily closed between Mavis Rd. and Hurontario St. for clean-up and investigation, but have since re-opened.
