Truck Fire On 401

Some Good Samaritans likely saved the lives of two people involved in an accident on Highway 401 Friday morning. Some drivers stopped to help pull the victims from a truck before it burst into flames.
The fire appears to have broken out after the truck was involved in an accident with another vehicle around 6:30am, although that hasn’t been confirmed.
The accident happened on the eastbound 401 at Warden. The express lanes were shut down for a portion of the morning rush.
Two people were pulled out of the truck’s cab. One of them suffered a fractured leg and the other a minor head injury.
Three off-duty paramedics also happened to be traveling by when the accident happened and stopped at the scene to offer help.
